Outing to Center for Birds of Prey
April 6, 2023It was a beautiful day to visit the Center for Birds of Prey for a flight demonstration. Residents also enjoyed lunch at TW Grahams where the seafood is so fresh, it is caught right down the road!

Last week, South Bay and Shem Creek Health Center had the honor of sponsoring the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Senior Health Expo at the Charleston Coliseum. South Bay residents had so much fun and met many friends last week. It was our community’s pleasure to host fellow Liberty Senior Living communities for the 2023 Liberty Games and introduce them to South Bay. There was steep competition, trophies and medals awarded, and many new friendships made!
South Bay Residents went on a Tour of Charleston with David Rowland of Holy City Transportation, brother of resident Angie Basha. Residents toured Hampton Park, The Citadel, The Battery, The Market, and the Pineapple Fountain. It was a beautiful day to see the famous sites of Charleston!
South Bay was excited to honor the community’s first Mardis Gras King and Queen, Judge and Mrs. Mallard.
South Bay residents enjoy an afternoon of live music the First Friday of each month. This month we listened to beautiful, live jazz by Alva Anderson and accompanist, Jeff DiMaio.
It’s always a fun time at South Bay. Where there is music, there is dancing. Dance floor open! So much joy in the room.
South Bay residents enjoyed a lovely Sunday evening program by The Piano Trio (Nina Sandberg, Eunice Koh, and Chee Hang See) and Charleston Music Club. Music soothes the soul , is so true!
Lynn and Suzie utilized the Core Corner during today’s Water Circuit Training Class. Exercise is so less stressful on the joints in water.
