My wife developed dementia as a result of getting the Corona virus in March of 2020. We explored many Independent care places in Mt. Pleasant, SC as this is where our daughter lives. We selected South Bay At Mt. Pleasant as it is by far the nicest place we found. They also have the ability to comfortably move my wife to assisted living if needed. However, what was most impressive is the staff that we met. They are all incredibly nice people, well trained, and all go out of their way to be helpful. The restaurant, pool, gym, and so many other facilities are perfect. We could not recommend them higher.

I had the privilege of visiting this amazing community this past week. The grounds were meticulous and the staff were very friendly. When you walk in the front door your blown away by the Southern Charm decor perfect for Charleston. It was bright and inviting and their culinary department could be compared to a Michelin star restaurant.

My wife and I moved to an independent living apartment at South Bay about three weeks ago. It is one of the best decisions we have every made. It is like living in a huge resort hotel with all the five-star amenities, including restaurants, heated indoor pool, workout facilities, library, billiards room, etc. There are many activities and wellness programs and social events that make it easy to meet people and stay engaged. Plus there is convenient access to medical care and rehab facilities and the ability to transition to assisted-living if needed. This is the perfect place for well-rounded, affordable and worry-free retirement living.

The staff is caring and wonderful to work with. They plan so many events for the residents. My clients actually can’t wait to start their new chapter at South Bay.
